Betrayal Trauma
It’s hard to explain what betrayal trauma feels like to someone who has never been through it. As a result, you may feel alone in your pain. Understanding the effects of betrayal trauma can provide validation. Furthermore, it can help you gain insight into why you may be feeling or reacting to situations the way you are.
At Secure Connection Counseling, we’ll help you determine the correct treatment for your betrayal trauma healing process. To learn more about Betrayal Trauma, click here.
Individual Therapy
Each of the therapists at Secure Connection Counseling are equipped with a number of therapy models, especially the increasingly popular Internal Family Systems (IFS), or “parts work.”
Group Therapy
There are often times when a group setting is more conducive to healing. Sharing thoughts, troubles, and concerns with a group of individuals going through similar circumstances as your own can be extremely therapeutic.
Also, simply learning new information and skills in an educational setting might be the change that you need. Secure Connection Counseling is equipped to provide a number of groups and classes.
Telehealth Counseling
The COVID-19 crisis created a new world in which telehealth appointments became the norm rather than an exception. Many people have gotten used to this new paradigm and prefer visiting with a counselor in the comfort of their homes. Others feel the face-to-face interaction you get from a visit to a counselor’s office is still their preferred method of therapy.
At Secure Connection Counseling, we are open to either situation. If you have questions about telehealth appoints, click here.
Sexual Compulsion and Addiction
At Secure Connection Counseling, we can help individuals not only free themselves from the trap of sexual compulsion and addiction, but we can especially help relationships heal from its traumatizing effects.
