Biography

Kyla is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern who works from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) perspective, supporting individuals, couples, and families in creating stronger and more secure emotional connections. She approaches therapy with the belief that emotions are at the heart of how we connect with others, and that healing often begins when those emotions are understood, experienced, and shared in a safe relationship. Kyla helps clients slow down the patterns they find themselves stuck in, explore the underlying feelings driving those cycles, and begin building new ways of relating that foster safety, trust, and closeness.
Kyla’s passion for therapy is not only rooted in her academic and clinical training, but also in her personal experience as a client. Having engaged in her own therapeutic work, she has seen firsthand the meaningful growth, healing, and change that can come from the process. This perspective allows her to approach clients with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek support.
Kyla strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthier patterns of communication and connection. Whether working with individuals navigating personal challenges, couples seeking to repair and deepen their relationship, or families working to improve connection and understanding, Kyla is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care as she continues her clinical training.
